What is BattleFly?

BattleFly is an experimental PvP strategy game where players compete against each other to earn rewards. Players are rewarded in TreasureDAO's MAGIC token, the primary in-game currency.
Season 1 of BattleFly is an idle strategy game taking place across two arenas; the Proving Grounds and the Hyperdome.

Proving Grounds

The Proving Grounds are where new BattleFlys learn the ropes and only match up with novice or new BattleFlys. All must start here and prove themselves in combat. Those who succeed will earn their stripes in the form of a Hyperdome Wing Mark, and be promoted into the Hyperdome to battle for true reward.

The stakes are higher, the competition is greater, and the rewards are unmatched. The Hyperdome is a true test where BattleFlys compete to climb the ranks of our leaderboard. Those who excel in combat, will be rewarded handsomely in the form of MAGIC.

Season 1

Throughout Season 1, our matchmaking system will match BattleFlys in PVP combat where both players are staking a small amount of MAGIC on the outcome of the battle. When a BattleFly wins a battle, it receives its opponent’s MAGIC (minus a 10% rake which BattleFly collects). The effect of this is that slowly, but inevitably, a non-strategic owner playing a poorly equipped BattleFly will see their staked MAGIC gradually evaporate.
Every BattleFly, regardless of trait, rarity and starting Mods, is created with the potential of having a positive ROI; it’s up to the player to find and execute the right strategy to deliver it.
BattleFly is a game in which there will be winners and losers. While the redistribution of staked MAGIC from under-performing BattleFlys to high-performing BattleFlys happens quite slowly, it is inexorable.
BattleFly has been conceived as the first high volume, mass market game for the TreasureDAO ecosystem and has been designed from the ground up to minimize the impact of inflation and speculation on core gameplay.
